Hello My Name Is...
Robyn Case
My name is Robyn Case, and I have been a teacher at Wallace A. Smith for 22 years- 1 year teaching kindergarten and 21 years as a 4th grade teacher. I teach 4th grade math and science. I am also the grade level chair, member of the Smith Leadership team, math lead teacher for the building, the Math & Science Olympiad lead teacher, and a previous Leadership Fellow in Hamilton County. I earned an Bachelor of Arts degree in both Political Science and Elementary Education from the University of Tennesse (GO VOLS!), and a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction (also from UT).
My husband, Russ, and I have been married for 24 years. We both grew up at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church, where we are still active members, and dated for almost 6 years before getting married. We have two children, Cooper and Caroline. Cooper will be a sophomore in college at the University of Tennessee this year (our alma mater). He is pursuing a degree in History. Caroline is a junior at Ooltewah High School, where she is a cheerleader. Sawyer, our sweet 10 year old Golden Retriever, is another very important member of our family.
During my free time, I enjoy reading (the Harry Potter series is my fav), shopping (especially at the Loft and Alter'd State), watching movies (I'm a huge James Bond fan!), spending time with my family, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols Football team (hopefully I'll have more to cheer about this year- LOL) and the Yankees (I've been to two games at Yankee Stadium, which was AWESOME). Our family also loves traveling. Some of our most favorite vacation spots are cruising the Caribbean, Walt Disney World, New York, and Key West, Florida.
I love teaching 4th grade at Smith Elementary, and I love team teaching with my wonderful teaching partner and friend, Crystal Richardson, who teaches Literacy. I look forward to another great year with my 4th grade students and parents. Working together, we can have an aswesome 4th grade year!
