                    Red Ribbon Week 2017

October 10/30-11/3

 

Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and drug prevention campaign observed annually in October in the U.S.A. During this time at Smith Elementary we celebrate the many ways we can make safe and healthy choices each day.

 

 

RED RIBBON WEEK THEME DAYS

 

Monday, 10/30-"SAY BOO to UNHEALTHY CHOICES”!

Wear your favorite Halloween shirt or Halloween colors

 

Tuesday, 10/31-"HEALTHY CHOICES are TIMELESS!"

Dress up in attire from your favorite decade/Sock Hop & Owls' Day (pep rally)

NO HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

 

Wednesday, 11/1-"YOU WON’T SEE ME DOING DRUGS!"

Wear camouflage or animal print clothing.

 

Thursday, 11/2-I DREAM OF STEAM”

(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math)

Dress up as a future professional in a STEAM related career.

Any accessories should be small enough to fit in the student’s backpack.

No masks, helmets, toy weapons, or other inappropriate items.

NO HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

 

Thursday, 11/2- STEAM NIGHT

FOOD & SHAVED ICE (available for purchase) 5:00 PM

ACTIVITIES BEGIN 6:00 PM

Friday, 11/3-"TEAM UP for HEALTHY CHOICES"
